reviews
Great for those wanting to expand their abilities.
This is a great book for anyone wanting to learn more techniques of digital photography. Although you can use a lot of techniques featured with a point-and-shoot camera, the book was written for those with a SLR camera. If you don't have an SLR, be careful, it'll make you want to get one.
Great book!
Just like listening to a friend!
An excellent book which has easy to follow instructions for learning how to better utilize your dSLR. If you are one of those people (like I am) who hates math equations and technical jargon, this book is definitely a must-have! Id recommend this book to anyone starting out in photography who wants more than just to point and shoot.
Complex Concepts Boiled Down to Practical Advice
Usefull for any photographer at any level. Highly highly recommend this book and the volume 2 book. Kelby provides great advice, tips that I still go back to once in awhile.
Awesome book!!
This book is awesome along with all the other Scott Kelby books. I would highly recommend all of them. I read this thing daily to get ideas and learn how to take better shots. A must have book!!!
Must have for beginning photographers
The book is well delivered and does exactly what it says it does.
Imagine yourself out with a buddy (in this case the author, Scott Kelby) on a photo shoot. You get to ask Scott any questions you'd like about photography and instead of him answering in any technical jargon, he simply informs you of what settings to use in what circumstances.
I particularly enjoyed the sections on Portraits & Landscapes.
It's a very quick read and serves as excellent reference material. Outstanding buy for the money.
