Excellent purchase
This was a very good purchase. Looking for the book for awhile for my grandson. Thanks
I can read with my eyes shut, The foot book, Did I ever tell you how lucky you are? Horton who is who, How the grinch stolen chr
My 2 sons love the books, the older one is reading it over and over and
the younger one like to open every page and look the picture because he can't red now and tell his own story according to the picture. I will buy more of Dr. Seuss book as soon they are on sale because my kids want to have all of them.
Encouraging reading
A great book for early readers, Seuss explores concepts of reading and the value of reading with the usual sillyness that is throughout his books.
I Can Read With My Eyes Shut
I am a kindergarten teacher and have several Dr. Seuss books in my collection but not this one. Our school celebrates Dr. Seuss' birthday in late Feb/early March every year, so during that time, I like to read as many Dr. Seuss books as I can, especially the ones my students may be less familiar with. My 5 and 6 year olds loved the story and recognized the Cat in the Hat immediately. They liked the character of Young Cat. The story flows easily as most Dr. Seuss books do and my students enjoy listening for rhyming words. A great addition to my Dr. Seuss collection.
Inspiring introduction to reading
In this book the Cat in the Hat makes a great effort to read with his eyes shut, only to realize that it's much easier and better to read with his eyes open. And he goes on to marvel about everything that you can read about, and everything you can learn through books. It's a beautiful and inspiring introduction into the importance of reading, a Seuss-must-have!!!
