Good for a chuckle
I first came across this book in the early '90s while serving as a pastor in North Dakota. At that time, it was released by the (Wittenburg) Door crowd (for those of you who have never heard of it, they're still in business as a religious satire magazine and you can check them out at http://www.wittenburgdoor.com/home.html – but I haven't subscribed for years, now and can't say anything up or down on that). The cartoons don't quite have staying power and some of them are getting a bit dated. They aren't ROFL funny, either, but they're all worth a chuckle. If you've got an imagination that can pair up some of these with your more staid church members, you might even laugh out loud once or twice. I frequently give it to young people who decide to join the church (with instructions to only use these ideas when somebody else is preaching).
