Biased information? 
The descriptions were submitted by other people. The author has stated in a talk that she contacted Chambers of Commerce and tourist bureaus while writing this book. It looks to me like she didn't actually visit these places herself because at the bottom of each page for each »attraction,« there is another person's name as the submitter. I'd rather have a book that was written a little more objectively by someone who visited all of the places. Gas is too expensive to drive around to see what the local Chamber of Commerce may have touted as a secret worthy of a visit.
